Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian, who's been performing for some time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She has been featured on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea, who began appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, began her career by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. After 2012 she had been performing in sketch comedy shows or sitcoms as well as other similar programs. Following her award from Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, she was a frequent guest on a variety of panels, and is now a staple. Between 2016 and 2017, she served as a captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and is a frequent contestant in the show's follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. In 2012, she was the only woman in history to win the So You think You're Funny award. She uses the surnamed Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born on March 16, 1984, in Kildare, County Kildare. The father of her Brian was a veterinarian for horses who took his own life when Bea was just three years old though she was not told the cause of his death until she reached the age of 13 years old. She adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea was raised with her older sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer as well as a former professional racer. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. Bea began her career as a tour-guide for the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that the racing industry wasn't the right fit for her.
