Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. When she was just five and moved to Oxfordshire and attended the Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress from the age of six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute which offers classes for part-time students. Her performances had been in several Stagecoach and school productions by the time she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were selected as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's film debut was made with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film is 2001's top production, and it broke records at the opening and the very first weekend. The film received praise from experts, and also by the performance of three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's acting "amazing". Emma was awarded five nominations for her impressive performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress of a Film.
